Did You Know The Microwave Oven was an accidental invention?

A Microwave Oven is a cooking apprentice that cooks food by exposing it to electromagnetic radiation. It cooks food instantly. Percy LeBaron Spencer was a self-taught engineer who invented this accidentally when he was working on magnetrons (vacuum tubes that produce microwave radiation) to be used in radar systems.

One day he was testing a magnetron and suddenly noticed that a chocolate bar in his pocket melted. Later, he tried different foods and found fascinating results. He mounted his idea into a metal box and devised the first Microwave machine that cooked food instantly.

He filed a patient for his invention in 1945.
